Temporal parting

We will be hiding out temporarily for the next few months, finishing recordings, changing the lineup, adding members, having summer backyard parties, hikes, road trips, etc. We will continue to post music on the blog in the meantime.

Above is an explosive performance of the song "Genetic Engineering" by one of my favorite bands, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. I rediscovered the album Dazzle Ships last year and have been obsessing over it more and more as time goes on. It's become detrimental to my health.

Sean from Portland's DWL is on tour with a new band called Imra and was nice enough to ask me to contribute a performance to an already amazing night. Apparently, even Mitchell Brown might be performing. It looks like it's going to be an amazing and busy night!

These performances were committed to hard disc between July and October of 2005, since then they have been sitting on a wooden shelf collecting dust. Though they are incomplete, I am putting them out because i don't have any intentions of finishing them. For the most part, these were improvisations or basic ideas for songs. They're rough but that seems to be what i'm enjoying about them
