Last Halloween we got together with a few friends, decided to get a few pairs of knockoff Ray-Bans and play a set of Jesus and Mary Chain songs. The event took place at Pehrspace, and if I recall correctly, the set list was "Rider", "Just Out Of Reach", "Kill Surf City" and "Never Understand". It was a fun night, Bobb Bruno and Voice On Tape did a set together of Misfits songs and Blessure Grave closed out the night in bloody attire. Here's a clip of us doing Kill Surf City!

Temporal parting

We will be hiding out temporarily for the next few months, finishing recordings, changing the lineup, adding members, having summer backyard parties, hikes, road trips, etc. We will continue to post music on the blog in the meantime.

Above is an explosive performance of the song "Genetic Engineering" by one of my favorite bands, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. I rediscovered the album Dazzle Ships last year and have been obsessing over it more and more as time goes on. It's become detrimental to my health.

Back in August of 2007, our good friend Vincent Reyes from the band Friends in the Mountains briefly joined Deathday Party on drums. We quickly began working on songs but unfortunately only played one show. I think it happened somewhere in Pomona with Halloween Swim Team.
